ABOUT sex week boston
Sex Week Boston is a week-long series of events designed to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to embrace their sexuality in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment, while also fostering sex-positive community.
The week is a vibrant celebration of sex education, queer and trans liberation, and sex-positive community building.

Sex Week Boston’s Values
Sex Week Boston centers sexual and reproductive justice, queer and trans liberation, and sexual freedom for all.
We love sex education that is affirming of all genders, sexualities, desires, and relationship structures—with consent as a foundation. This means queer and straight friendly, trans and cis friendly, non-monogamy and monogamy friendly, and kink and vanilla friendly.
Our vision for sex education comes from a perspective of intersectional liberation. This means recognizing the ways that sexism, racism, classism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, capitalism, and other systems of oppression impact all our lives. It also means pushing back against these oppressive systems, both in our own lives and in our education and advocacy efforts.

Who’s behind sex week boston?
Sex Week Boston is a collaboration between two independent Boston-based sexuality education organizations, Mer-Made for Pleasure and Pleasure Pie.
Mer-Made for Pleasure is a pleasure focused sex education organization that provides sex-positive workshops, personalized pleasure consultations, and business coaching for sexuality professionals. Known for the person-sized Voula the Vulva puppet, Mer-Made for Pleasure also brings vulva and other body crafts to colleges and events as a playful way for people to learn about bodies and sexuality.
Pleasure Pie is a grassroots sexual justice organization with a focus on shame-free sexuality and consent education. They create zines and conversations on consent, sexual empowerment, and sexual rights. Their sex education workshops and zines help to provide affirming guidance for college students and adults of all ages. They also put out a monthly email newsletter called Boston's Sex Positive Newsletter, which lists local sexuality-related events and job openings.
